BSA

Saturday, August 31, 2013 2:04 No Comments

I've owned this old rod brake BSA for about 14 years and my old man stored at his place in Mallorca. It has great patina and every thing works well. All it needs are some new inner tubes and its ready to go. Mind you the village is in the mountains and this thing weighs almost as much as an Electra Glide so not sure how much use it will get. This post is for you Toshi

Dirt-turned-cafe at See See Motorcycles in Portland, OR

 Words to live by.

Jeff's American Classics in Dundee Oregon, go there.

Jeff in action.

On the 5th of August, I moved from Detroit to Los Angeles with my girlfriend and everything we owned in the back of a rented truck. Couldn't help but feel like early settlers in a covered wagon, leaving the old life behind and moving west for the promise of something better. What's more American than that? We arrived in the city of Angels on the 9th of August, and less than a week later we saddled up the garbage wagon and made tracks north to Portland for a wedding. I don't recall many details of our two-wheeled journey, mainly because this month all blends together as one perpetual blur, but what sticks out is this: 1.) Riding motorcycles on the east side of the Sierra Mountains in the summer is the wrong thing to do. Swamp ass is a constant, and there is no relief from the heat. But the mountains are pretty. 2.) The Oregon coast is absolutely stunning, and the Pacific ocean is one bad mother. Period. And lastly, 3.) Thor at See See motorcycle helps run the coolest motorcycle and coffee shop ever, and their dirt bike-turned-cafe racer will be coming to an issue of DicE in the near future. In the mean time, I'm glad to be back in my new home of L.A., and I look forward to help keeping DicE magazine the best flippin' magazine in the whole wide world.

Yours truly, Jordan Zielke

Retro Wrench’s Issue One

Thursday, August 29, 2013 8:16 No Comments

Retro Wrench's first official shop build is the result of straight-up gonzo bike building. Customer and friend of Retro Wrench John Campbell was so consumed with riding his first motorbike that he refused to leave it in the garage even for one afternoon. In fact, he postponed servicing the CB350 until the old wiring literally caught fire. Even then, the guys at Retro Wrench nearly had to steal it from him. Thus began the piracy that spawned Issue One.

21 Questions with Scott "T Bone " Jones of Noise Cycles

Wednesday, August 28, 2013 11:27 No Comments

If you ever had the chance to spend some time with Scott "T Bones " Jones, you come to realize that he's a man of few words. He prefers to let his custom motorcycles speak for him and boy do they! Scott spends hours, sometimes days customizing a part to take his motorcycles to the next level. His building process is part mathematician and part madman as seen on his latest creation, Sneak Attack. The craftsmanship was over the top, which helped him attain the Born Free 5 Best of Show award and the trip to Yokohama from Mooneyes. Business is booming at Noise Cycles but for Scott, family time is where it's at.
